Make a Big Impact: Support the CTL on Giving Day!

The Center for Teaching & Learning (CTL) is dedicated to empowering faculty with innovative resources, fostering collaboration, and enhancing student success through transformational teaching. Your support on Giving Day helps sustain excellence in teaching and directly benefits our students through faculty-driven research and high-impact learning.

Why Give?

Through the CTL Impact Fund, we provide faculty grants of up to $1,000 to support the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) projects. These projects enhance classroom experiences by introducing cutting-edge teaching techniques, evidence-based curriculum development, and immersive learning opportunities for students that directly translate to student learning and engagement.

Real Impact, Real Stories

Dr. Scott Bledsoe & Professor Kimberly McCall (College of Leadership & Public Service)
"Our SoTL grant is essential to providing students with the transformational educational experiences they deserve. Through our Law in the Global Community course, students engage in hands-on learning abroad, visiting institutions like the United Nations and the International Court of Justice. This immersive experience fosters cultural competencies, self-sufficiency, and critical thinking."

Dr. Beth Conway (College of Liberal Arts & Sciences)
"I am so grateful for the CTL's support of Lipscomb Biology first-year students. With the CTL grant funding I received, I was able to develop a curriculum to help first-year Biology majors be more successful in their science courses, using Saundra McGuire's book "Teach Yourself How to Learn" as a primary textbook. I look forward to learning more about how we can help support retention, academic success, and vocational flourishing with our students."

Professor Melissa Forte (College of Entertainment & the Arts)

"Receiving this SoTL grant has enhanced my understanding and application of online course design. This coupled with the emerging use and application of AI in a variety of industries will greatly impact students as they enter the workforce that requires a new level of human engagement and technological skills."

Dr. Robert Tunney & Dr. Sarah Collier (College of Pharmacy)
"We are humbled to be an inaugural recipient of one of the CTL's SoTL Grant Awards. This support speaks volumes about Lipscomb’s continued dedication to classroom-based innovations and bolstering faculty as leaders in the provision of learning."
