The Lipscomb Initiative For Education (LIFE) Program brings faith-based education to two Tennessee prisons. Each semester up to 60 students experiencing incarceration proudly call themselves Lipscomb students as they work diligently toward undergraduate and graduate degrees. Faculty and students from campus make an extra effort each week to participate in this transformative educational experience. When released from prison before completing a degree, LIFE students are invited to continue their education with the assistance of the Richard C. Goode LIFE scholarship. LIFE thus prepares students to return to their communities strengthened with the self-confidence, character, and compassion fostered by a Christian education.
